Pin Basting my ORANGE braid quilt

The final border is on my orange braid quilt that I call Orange Slices and now it's basting time. Here's my usual place to do it... the kitchen floor.
I move the table and chairs up against the doorwall and take over the eating area for a couple of days. Al doesn't mind... he likes to eat at the island most of the time now that the kids don't live at home.
Tomorrow I'll start quilting this one... hope to be done by the middle of next week.

Gorgeous Deb! Can't wait to see how you quilt it.

Been meaning to tell you I got my prize and can't wait to make it! It has been too cold here this week and we have had furnace issues (went out on the coldest night of the year so far!) so I haven't been able to get in to the sewing mood. Will let you know when I do get it made!

Hi Deb. I love your quilt. is that a purchased pattern or your own design? All I can say is, my knees hurt looking at that picture of you on the floor.

Deb, your quilt looks beautiful. Wow, I admire your agility at being able to bet on the floor.
Love the pattern too.

Deb, That orange is just beautiful! I haven't done anything more with mine that I started way back last year in batiks! LOL!
Love your sewing room too! Recognized the pincushion box on the shelf too! Made me feel really good you would want to display it! Thanks!
I too want to know how you can still get down on the floor! WTG! I wouldn't be able to get back up!

Okay, here's the thing... I can get DOWN on the floor but getting up is a project! It takes me a bit to straighten out and get the legs working again. But I love to do my basting here. I get a backache bending over tables. On the floor I just crawl around over the quilt and around the edges. This time I realized I could really use some kneepads for the job.
Thanks for all the nice comments everyone. Mary Kay, this is my own design, one that will be in the quilt shop next week... I hope. I haven't named it yet... anyone have any suggestions?
