Finished Quilts!

This page is going to show all my finished quilts....or as many as I can find pictures of. There are many "first" quilts that are gone.... given away...out in the world...no pictures that I can find.

These will not be in any order but if I know when it was started or completed or who has it, I'll note that.

This purple scrap quilt was started as a way to get rid of way too many purple scrap. As I was making it I thought of my neice who loves purple. So this became Suzy's in the winter of 2021.

Six-point Stars is a scrappy quilt made of vintage and reproduction fabrics. This is Lisa's"wedding quilt" but didnt get finished till years later. It's all hand-pieced and hand-quilted. This is my first EPP (English Paper Pieced) quilt. It took over 7 years to piece. I worked on it as we traved to Arizona and Florida, did it as I waited for my mom's surgeries at U of M and as I attended "chattertime" on Fridays at the Charlevoix quilt shop (Hearts to Holly). Finished April of 2022, given to her September, 2022. 

This quilt I call the Charlevoix Quilt. We were living in Charlevoix when Minick & Simpson came out with their Charlevoix line. I was working at Hearts to Holly and bought a bit (😂😳) of it. This quilt is entirely that line, even the backing. The pattern is my own...I played around with different ideas until this one. I didnt wasnt a border so that it had a more vintage feel. This is my quilt, used for picnics, the beach and cozying up.

This black, white and lime quilt is called my Happy Man Quilt. Some of the black & white print is an Australian fabric that my friend Jenell from Lexington, OK shared with me YEARS ago. In that Aboriginal print fabric, there's a happy man (you'll know when you find him😱). I had an acrylic diamond template that I was dying to try out, so I created this pattern to make use of it. This quilt used up a good amount of black & white fabrics that I recieved during an internet forum swap. I was part of a couple of forums before IG came along. One was "Block Central" and the other was "The Quilt and Needle". I own this quilt because Al likes it, although I had considered giving it away. Finished Feb 2015. 

This Red Maple Leaf quilt is one of my earliest quilts. I copied a maple leaf block I had seen in an old magazine. This used 80's and 90's fabrics (maybe not all cotton?), poly batting, and is hand quilted. It's not a well-made quilt. I was learning...actually teaching myself...to quilt. It was started (I'm guessing) in the early 90s. When it was finished, I sent it to the farm (my brother's share a farm in the U.P. of Michigan). I have no idea if it's packed away or in use.

A "mug rug" or tiny quilt...this was made just for fun. It used some scraps and was given away when finished. I designed a handful of Mug Rugs. I couldn't say who has this. Made December 2016.

This was made as a sample for Hearts to Holly Quilt Shop. It is not my pattern (most of my quilts are my own design). This was given to my mom who always loved my quilts and after she passed, was given to my daughter Jenn.

This is one of many Rainbow Quilts. Ive participated in the #rainbowscrapchallenge for many years. These were older, unused blocks. It was a great way to get rid of scraps and slowly create some fun quilts. This one was finished up for a great-niece (my nephew, Jimmy's daughter). I'm trying to get a quilt made for each family member. This was Cementine's...finished Nov 2021

Another Rainbow Scrap Challenge quilt, this one was made for great niece Evelyn. This was a 2022 RSC project. I did 4 different blocks each month in 2022, to make 4 different quilts. One set of blocks was given to a friend who's daughter really liked them. Of the three other sets, one is a top, this is a quilt and one set I'm still adding to this year. It will be a 2022/2023 quilt. I finished this 🌈  quilt on March 7, 2023.

Blue Scrap Strip Quilt:

This is an old one. I made it WAY back, when we lived in Charlevoix. My box of blue fabric was overflowing, this was the solution to getting blue scraps under control. It didn't even make a dent!🤣 I still have this one, we take to the beaches and parks.
