Making a quilt from 6 inch charm squares

I'm making a new quilt using 6" charm squares that we are trading on www.blockcentral.com. I made a pattern where I cut the 6" blocks in half, diagonally then sew a 2" strip between them. After that, I lay my 6-1/2" template over it and square it off. I'm starting to get a nice collection of these but I cant decide on which version to make. I took a picture of 4 of the possible ways to put it together... which do you ladies think is the best? I'm leaning toward the last one.....

# 4 or # 1...the others don't quite work at that scale. I enjoyed your trip out of the snow. Hope all goes well with the duties, concerns you now are home to attend to. I like your statement about you...clarity about favorite past-times not being confused with love of people, especially family, is so nicely spelled out.

I can't decide if I like the first one or last one. Definitely number 4...no, number one...see, I'm no help at all.

Deb ... you have a LOT more snow than we have in the northeast! Spring is springing here ... hope it finds you soon!

I like the first and last layouts. This was a good idea for the charms and will make a pretty quilt whichever you decide.

I am contemplating a bright and black/white print quilt with mine.

Have fun ... :-) Pat

What a clever idea for the charms. I like #1 because it reminds me of the barn raining for the log cabin blocks.
However, I also like #4, it is very pleasing to look at.
You could make both if you had enough sqs.

Deb, Defintely the last one! What a neat idea to do with our charms! Ah! If I'd known you were in Yukon, I could of drove up, (probably would of been working though). Just might have to do something like that with my charms too! Great idea!

I love the last one too, I am planning the same pattern with our roses strips. I haven't found the just right fabric yet. I am looking for something soft and leafy.
